A clear agreement.

Operated by OpsCom, Corp., 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808, United States. Contact: [email protected].

These terms are between OpsCom, Corp. (“we”) and the business that signs up for Fastbackr (“you”, the customer). The person who signs up confirms they may accept them for that business.

What Fastbackr does

Fastbackr is a hosted service for collecting feedback on your website. You add our SDK to your site, and the people you let review it — your team, clients or guests (“reviewers”) — click an element or drag a box around an area and leave a comment pinned to it. Comments, replies and their Done / Reopen status are stored on our servers and shown on your site and in the Fastbackr dashboard.

Your account

Sign up with a work email. We email a sign-in link that works once and expires after five minutes; your first link creates the account. Each account gets one project and one API key from the quick start. Keep access to your email secure: anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

Price

Fastbackr has a free plan and paid plans. The plans and their prices are listed in the pricing section. Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, our payment provider, and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page in the dashboard; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Your API key

Your API key lets your server vouch for who a reviewer is. Keep it on your server; never put it in browser code, a public repository or a log. You are responsible for what is done with your key. If it leaks, regenerate it from the quick start or contact us, and we will revoke it.

Your reviewers

Your site decides who each reviewer is and sends us their name, an id and, if you choose, their email. Guests — reviewers your site has not signed in — can comment on your project by default and see only their own threads; ask us to turn guest access off. You are responsible for telling your reviewers that Fastbackr runs on your site and for having the right to share their details with us.

Your data

Everything your reviewers write, and the page and element details stored with it, is your data. You own it. We use it only to run Fastbackr for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. Each comment stores a short excerpt of the text of the element it is pinned to and, if screenshots are on for your project, an image of what the reviewer sees. So do not run Fastbackr on pages that show passwords, payment details, health records or other sensitive data. Screenshots black out form fields and any area marked data-fastbackr-private. Marking every area that must not be captured is your responsibility.

The SDK

The fastbackr and @fastbackr/react packages are licensed under the LICENSE file shipped with each. In short: you may use them, unmodified, to connect your sites to Fastbackr.

Using it fairly

Do not use Fastbackr to post unlawful, abusive or infringing content, to send spam, to attack or overload the service, to get around its rate limits, or to reach another customer’s data. We limit how often comments can be posted. We may block a reviewer, revoke a key or pause an account to stop misuse or protect the service, and we will tell you when we do unless the law or security prevents it.

An early product

Fastbackr is new and still changing. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we do not promise any level of availability. Features may change or be removed. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages arising from your use of Fastbackr.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and email account owners before the change applies. Continuing to use Fastbackr after that means you accept the new terms.

Ending

You can stop using Fastbackr at any time: remove the SDK from your site and close your account on your dashboard profile, or email [email protected]. We delete your projects, comments, screenshots and reviewer records within 30 days. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
